Nikolai has a UTI and is missing school *again*. Also, he threw up, so, per school rules, he'll be missing school tomorrow as well. I think I've stopped producing milk. I think it's because of LCHF.

February 15, 2017 - Wednesday

Getting sick of LCHF food, but liking the results: I'm more energetic, less depressed.  More into sex, too. I have a libido again! Yay!

February 14, 2017 - Tuesday

Felt awful today: dizzy, nauseous, achy.  Jess says it's keto flu; it's my body adjusting to using fat, instead of sugar, for energy.  Had to cancel hanging out with Erika.  The kids were upset, were looking forward to playing with Matthew.

Feeling weird. Drunkish (despite not being drunk).  Still sticking with LCHF.

February 12, 2017 - Sunday

Started LCHF for real today.  Had a delicious creamy broccoli and bacon casserole mid-day.  Wasn't hungry much; the high fat content of this diet keeps me full.  I like not being hungry.

February 11, 2017 - Saturday

I almost started LCHF today.  But Wil wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day today, even though it's on Tuesday (he gave me cherry sours from Albertson's (my favorite!), fruit roll-ups, and a chocolate rose, all arranged in a glass vase). And then the Girl Scouts came to our apartment, and that was it.

Mel came over today.  She, Wil, and I watched Trump videos on YouTube.

I'm working on a short story about the Women's March in San Diego. I forgot how fun it is to organize a story and write it out.

February 8, 2017 - Wednesday

Nikolai woke up crying last night from an earache.  I picked him up from school early today to take him to the doctor.  He has a very bad ear infection, it turns out. He's on antibiotics (the liquid kind for kids that smells delicious and has to be refrigerated) and ear drops (which are actually eye drops; the pharmacy was out of ear drops, and the pharmacist says that eye drops work great as ear drops too (huh)) and will have to miss school again tomorrow. Without insurance the "ear drops" would have cost us $95.  How is that legal?

February 7, 2017 - Tuesday

Nick and Aly are still stick.  They stayed home again.

February 6, 2017 - Monday

Nikolai and Alison are both sick with colds and stayed home today.

February 5, 2017 - Sunday

Nick and Alison spent the night at Nana and Papa's last night.  Wil and I watched Black Mirror on Netflix last night and this morning. God, I love that show.

We celebrated Nikolai's 7th birthday today at Nana and Grandpa's house.  Nick's friend Liam was there, as well as Nana and Grandpa, Jess and Vern, Dannika and Emersyn, Dan, Katie, Alison, Silas, Wil, and me.

Nikolai had his first-ever sleepover tonight, with Liam from the Netherlands

I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Alison curled up next to me.  I think she has a crush on Spike.

Today was Nikolai's 7th birthday.  Seven years!  Wil dropped some popsicles off for Nick's class, but I forgot to e-mail Nick's teacher about them, and so I suppose they'll be distributed tomorrow. I'm such a failmom.

So many bills are due tomorrow, and we have so little money.

January 30, 2017 - Monday

Nikolai woke up at 4 a.m. throwing up.  I kept him home from school and watched shows on YouTube with him.

We went to the mountains to see the snow.  We got a speeding ticket on our way home.

Wil and I saw Rogue One, the first movie we've seen in theaters since 2015.  It was okay.
