I'm working on a short story about the Women's March in San Diego. I forgot how fun it is to organize a story and write it out.

February 8, 2017 - Wednesday

Nikolai woke up crying last night from an earache.  I picked him up from school early today to take him to the doctor.  He has a very bad ear infection, it turns out. He's on antibiotics (the liquid kind for kids that smells delicious and has to be refrigerated) and ear drops (which are actually eye drops; the pharmacy was out of ear drops, and the pharmacist says that eye drops work great as ear drops too (huh)) and will have to miss school again tomorrow. Without insurance the "ear drops" would have cost us $95.  How is that legal?

February 7, 2017 - Tuesday

Nick and Aly are still stick.  They stayed home again.

February 6, 2017 - Monday

Nikolai and Alison are both sick with colds and stayed home today.

February 5, 2017 - Sunday

Nick and Alison spent the night at Nana and Papa's last night.  Wil and I watched Black Mirror on Netflix last night and this morning. God, I love that show.

February 4, 2017 - Saturday

We celebrated Nikolai's 7th birthday today at Nana and Grandpa's house.  Nick's friend Liam was there, as well as Nana and Grandpa, Jess and Vern, Dannika and Emersyn, Dan, Katie, Alison, Silas, Wil, and me.
